Bio
Scott Yaphe landed his first television role in the two-part pilot My Lovely Bank starring the acclaimed Walter Massey at age 12. He studied Commerce at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Radio and Television Arts at Toronto’s Ryerson University.
After graduating, he joined the cast of a series on the popular Canadian youth television specialty channel – YTV’s sketch comedy show ‘It’s Alive!’, which lasted three seasons. When the show ended, his beloved character Wink Yahoo was granted his own series entitled ‘Uh-Oh!’. Scott has most recently voiced the role of “Lucky” in the 3D animated feature film, The Nut Job and is currently shooting Guillermo Del Toro’s adaptation of his vampire horror novel, “The Strain”, playing the role of Sledge. He has also had supporting roles on TMN Canada’s ‘Bloodletting and Miraculous Cures’ and Global/ABC’s ‘Rookie Blue’ and had recurring roles on both Disney XD’s ‘Aaron Stone’ and Warner Television’s ‘Unnatural History’.
Scott has also shared the big screen with Jennifer Love Hewitt in the Jackie Chan film, The Tuxedo, and with two-time Oscar winner Hillary Swank in the Amelia Earhart biopic, Amelia. He can also be seen in the film, STAG, starring Donald Faison (Scrubs), Eva Amurri (Californication) and Jon Dore (The Jon Dore Show) on TMN in Januray 2014.
Voice and commercial work keep Scott busy. He spent 7 years as the voice of Rogers Sportsnet and 4 years as the Promo Voice of SUN TV. He has appeared in dozens of memorable commercials.
Scott lives in Toronto with his wife Jessica Holmes and their two children.
